Business Needs
American Modern Insurance Group, Inc. is the holding company for several subsidiary property and casualty insurance companies. The subsidiaries provide a range of tailored insurance products for the owners of mobile and manufactured homes, specialty dwellings such as vacant, rental, and seasonal homes, watercraft, motorcycles, collector vehicles, snowmobiles, and pets, as well as travel insurance solutions.
The company caters to the commercial insurance needs of the manufactured housing market landlords, dealers, and communities. It also provides services and products designed to protect lender interests, including mortgage fire, debt cancellation, vendor’s single interest, collateral protection insurance, renter’s insurance, credit life, and flood insurance.
To effectively serve its 30-million clientele, the organization needed to reduce manual steps, develop a unified interface, and automate access to information.
We support. We improve.
At the initial stage of the project, the Techvision team conducted a series of stakeholder interviews to get a thorough understanding of the client’s business process and project requirements. With the requirements in place, we proceeded to the next project steps.
We designed, developed, and implemented a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based web services layer to enable seamless access to various repositories. Using existing web client applications, this services layer provides seamless, real-time access to required information from IBM FileNet Image Services, IBM FileNet Content Engine and Process Engine, Unisys InfoImage, IBM ImagePlus, and OpenText Execute360. In addition, this allows employees to complete transactions without knowing the actual document location.
We used MediaWiki to create a robust online knowledge base, enabling effective knowledge management, documentation, project collaboration, and content creation within the enterprise. Also, our team implemented Splunk, a system designed for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated data in real-time, and Feng Office to help the company manage and track issues, requests, and tasks.
